In the meadows of Salzburgʼs Kurgarten, two sound installations by Swiss artist Dimitri de Perrot enter the public space: INTO THE DIRT is a sounding platform that invites visitors to lie down, listen, and linger, while SCHAUFENSTER #1 presents itself as a walk-in instrument that enters into an acoustic dialogue with its surroundings.

The two projects offer distinct ways of relating to the world – lying down or standing, close to the ground or moving through space. In a striking manner, they bring together two perspectives that interweave with the everyday happenings in the Kurgarten, unfolding an open interplay. At the heart of the installations are listening and perception – an open arrangement in which site, visitors, and artworks can coalesce into a shared body.

Dimitri de Perrot is a sound artist, director, and stage designer from Zurich. In his work, he combines sound, space, and staging to create immersive experiential environments situated between theatre, concert, and installation. A central focus lies on listening as an aesthetic, social, and political practice.
