INSTANT36 is an open improvisation festival for film enthusiasts, where participants create a short film in just 36 hours. The competition kicks off with an email sent to all registered participants, announcing the theme and an object that must be included in the film. Fiction, documentary, or animation: all forms are allowed and encouraged, as long as the maximum length of five minutes is not exceeded.
A pre-jury selects the best films from all submissions, which will then be presented to the public at a screening. The results will be scrutinized and awarded by a carefully selected jury and the audience during the official screening and festival evening – held this year for the first time at SZENE.
The filming weekend will take place on October 12th/13th, 2024.
