A fireworks display of swing, soul, funk, and pop highlights is presented by the Lungau Big Band, together with the charismatic young singer Anna Buchegger, who gained great fame with her Star Mania victory in 2021. As a jazz and pop singer, she impresses with a fantastic voice and a wide range of styles. In her own work, she bridges the gap between familiar tradition and innovation, carefully combining selected traditional elements with contemporary trends to create a dialogue that connects the values of yesterday with the urgencies of today.
So, even after the 40th anniversary of the Lungau Big Band, it continues to be loud and wild! It is extremely rare for a jazz orchestra to persist for such a long time, consistently presenting interesting programs, showcasing renowned soloists from around the world, and inviting composers to create new music. As a result, the Lungau Big Band has become one of the most active and remarkable jazz ensembles in the country, delighting not only the audience with its alternating programmatic directions but also keeping itself in an infectious spirit of playfulness with diverse musical demands!
