BODHI PROJECT & Antonin Rioche
COMME SI TOUT ALLAIT S’ARRÊTER

The title of the piece translates to "as if everything was about to end" and is inspired by the intensity of our modern lives: our relationships with ourselves, with others, with work, with our phone addiction, and with the virtual world that becomes more and more intertwined with the real one. As we move constantly between real and virtual spaces, it becomes difficult to know which one shapes us the most. The piece explores that overwhelming tension: how all of this can feel like too much, almost apocalyptic at times, as if everything is on the verge of collapsing. It reflects that fragile and delicate moment when everything feels on the edge, when life becomes so intense, so charged and so dense that time almost stands still, as if it is holding its breath. Another important inspiration was the question of power relations and the “fakeness” that surrounds us, the growing dehumanization, the masks we wear in society, the ones we put on to protect ourselves, and how hard they are to remove once they become part of our identity. How our environment shapes us and sometimes distorts us.
