The focus of the piece that Adrienn Hód has developed for the BODHI PROJECT lies in the paradoxical phenomena of movement, rest, monotony and attitude. The deconstruction that runs through the entire evening combines the enduring athleticism of a marching band with the sensibility of Frédéric Chopin’s Nocturnes.
Through the opposing nature of the deconstructed performances the audience is forced to reflect on more than the object under scrutiny and concern itself with a deeper meaning. As a result, dancers raise questions regarding individuality and collectivism while they work on a piece that is also characterised by the provocative aspects that are familiar from Adrienn Hód’s work.
