After successful events featuring Westbam and Max Cooper, the electronic music project of the Osterfestspiele is entering its third round at SZENE: Wounds & Wonders.
In November, the sudden death of DJ Cambis shook the electronic music world. The Persian-born artist was the driving force behind WOUNDS & WONDERS and was set to create a night between electro & Mussorgsky, techno & soprano, and wounds & wonders together with DJ Alma. In Cambis’ spirit and in collaboration with his team, Milk & Sugar will now take over.
With the musicians handpicked by Cambis from the Persian music collective Pourwandad, as well as Persian singer Sogoli Livani, the evening aims to explore the fine line between wounds and wonders—also reflecting on the current situation in Iran. Last but not least, WOUNDS & WONDERS, with the disco sounds of Milk & Sugar, the specially produced music by Pourwandad, and Alma’s DJ set at the beginning, will also serve as an electronic requiem for Cambis.
