The biennal Choreographic Platform Austria aims to showcase the diverse choreographic landscape in Austria to both a dance-interested audience and international experts.
After the successful (re)launch in Vienna and St. Pölten in 2023, the platform will move on to Salzburg in 2025. The choice of this location is based on the city’s vibrant and tradition-rich dance and performance scene, which is shaped both by an independent scene and by renowned training institutions. From November 20–22, eleven selected productions will be presented live to an audience of international and national presenters, experts, and the general public. A total of 175 works were submitted in response to an open call; the final selection was made by a five-member external jury. The program will be complemented by pitching sessions and a diverse supporting program.
