Waves, swirls and a lot of movement: Break the Dam
Set in a post-apocalyptic landscape, Break the Dam sees five performers grappling with weight, repetition and resistance. Micro-movements flow through the group, gradually loosening their rigidity and initiating their transformation.
The dancers’ energy begins to circulate and the landscape around them changes… Break the Dam is the latest production by the Salzburg-based Portuguese-Brazilian choreographer Rosana Ribeiro and will premiere at SOMMERSZENE on Thursday, 11 June. Rehearsals have taken place over the past few weeks at the tanz_house studio in ARGEkultur. We look forward to the premiere!
