SOMMERSZENE as international Performance Hotspot
SOMMERSZENE kicks off next week and we are delighted to be able to present a host of Austrian premieres. Many of the invited artists are coming to Salzburg straight from international festivals and renowned cultural hotspots, or are continuing their tours from here:
Leïla Ka has already performed Maldonne on numerous international stages, including at the Van Cleef & Arpels Dance Reflections Festival in New York and the Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen. She is now appearing in Austria for the first time as part of SOMMERSZENE. Jan Martens, one of the most important choreographic voices of our time, also on display at Van Cleef & Arpels with THE DOG DAYS ARE OVER 2.0. Following SOMMERSZENE, Jan Martens is taking part in a collaborative project between Maud Le Padec and the CCN – Ballet de Lorraine at the Grand Palais in Paris. Marco da Silva Ferreira, this year’s winner of the CHANEL Next Prize, captivates audiences at SOMMERSZENE with pulsating rhythms and moves in the Austrian premiere of F*cking Future.
