7 p.m. SLADEK
SLADEK is a soul band comprising singer and guitarist David Sladek, bassist Alvis Reid and drummer Bernhard Sorger, who draw their inspiration from the soul music of the late 1960s: handcrafted soul, an analogue sound aesthetic and a keen sense of groove and emotion. In recent years, SLADEK has established itself as a captivating live act that conveys the deep emotions of soul music and powerful rhythms – and encourages the audience to sing along and dance a step or two. On stage, the trio is supported by Taineh on keyboards and as a backing vocalist, as well as by Gloria Handler on drums.
David Sladek – vocals/guitar, Bernhard Sorger – drums, Alvis Reid – bass, Taineh – keyboards, Mathias Garmusch – percussion
9 p.m. Bab L´Bluz
Bab L' Bluz is a Franco-Moroccan band that was formed in Marrakesh in 2018 after the Moroccan singer and guitarist Yousra Mansour and the French guitarist and producer Brice Bottin met. United by a deep passion for Gnawa music, they began learning the guembri (a traditional three-stringed bass lute) together, thereby developing a unique musical language: repetitive loops of religious Gnawa music, poetry from the Sahara, and the reckless, carefree energy of fuzz rock and blues.
Yousra Mansour: lead vocals, electric mandole, electric awisha, electric ribab, percussion, Brice Bottin: electric guembri, electric guitar, percussion, backing vocals, Ibrahim Terkemani: drums, sampling pad, backing vocals, Adrien Duterte: percussion, flute, backing vocals
