Tshirt conversations is a performance in which Belgium-based collective buren create different dialogues based on t-shirt quotes and statements they encounter on the streets, in shops and online. Taking them seriously, the artists Oshin Albrecht and Melissa Mabesoone were curious about how and why these messages are brought into the world, who the messages are for and what dialogues could come forth if these statements start to interact.
buren decided to use these rigid lines, spoken or thought, to challenge their often ironic, rude or blatant nature and turn them into dialogues, exploring their political, absurd or humorous qualities. From father-daughter conversations, friends discussing feminism, to late night phone sex, the slogans are being digested and put back out there in a clever and humorous way.

In English, limited number of participants.
